Christina's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Christina Palitto-Warhola, who departed this world on June 29, 2025. Christi was born on April 16, 1985, filling the lives of those around her with joy and laughter for the 40 wonderful years she lived.

Christi was the beloved wife and soulmate of Pablo Warhola, and the devoted mother to their cherished son, Oliver Warhola, who was the light of her life and her proudest joy. She embraced motherhood with tenderness and strength, instilling in Oliver the values of kindness, creativity, and unconditional love.

Born to Mark Palitto and Deborah Smith (Baldwin), Christi was a devoted daughter raised in a Christian home. She shared a lifelong bond with her siblings: Carla Moreland, Angela Palitto, and Mark Palitto. Together they created memories that will last forever. Christi also cherished her relationships with her in-laws, including her loving mother-in-law Lorene Warhola, her late father-in-law Paul C. Warhola, her sister-in-law Teresa Warhola, and brother-in-law Javier Romo. Christi was a dedicated and joyful aunt to Daniel, Kayla, Cody, Hannah, Eliana, and Elizabeth. She was also blessed to have a great-niece and great-nephews: Dawson, Peyton, Jett, Kilian, Ezra, and Lynnk. Her home was always open, her arms always welcoming, and her heart always full.

A passionate artist and creative spirit, Christi’s life was a canvas of color, depth, and quiet beauty. Her art reflected her soul—honest, expressive, and full of emotion. Whether through brush strokes, acts of kindness, or heartfelt conversation, she shared herself freely with the world. Her laughter was straight from the soul and a sound that won’t be forgotten by those lucky enough to hear it.

Christi graduated from GlenOak High School in 2003 and earned a scholarship to the prestigious Pratt Institute School of Art in Brooklyn, New York. Pratt Art Institute is where Christi met fellow artist and lifelong best friend, Allison Ruiz, who collaborated with Christi on many projects throughout the years. Christi’s passions went beyond the borders of a regular life, and she was actively engaged as a volunteer with the Birdseed Collective at the Globeville Center.

Christi was an appreciator of art, food, and music. Her favorite artists included Wassily Kandinsky, MC Escher, and Laurie Lipton. Her love of music was eccentric and ranged from Simon and Garfunkle, Florence & The Machine to Alabama Shakes and many, many others. She loved playing games like pinball, poker, video games, and scrabble. Pablo's bbq ribs were her all-time favorite meal, and she loved cooking for her family using her mother's recipes. More than anything else, Christi loved spending quality time with her family and friends. Great Lawn Park stood as one of her favorite places in the city where she and Pablo walked for hours and enjoyed countless sunsets together.

Christi's legacy is not just her loving son Oliver, but also the countless lives she touched through her art, volunteer work and all of the unforgettable memories she created with family and friends. She had dreams of expanding her art career and continuing to collaborate with amazing, like-minded artists, both in Denver and in New York City. Among all of her accomplishments, being a loving wife and a nurturing mother were her proudest. She and Pablo were together for 16 years, 3 months and 23 days.

In honoring Christi's memory, the family invites friends and loved ones to join in a celebration of not only her life, but of the art and love she so freely shared.
