Christina's obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Christina Houck, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, on November 15, 2024. Christina was born on October 9, 1975 and lived a life filled with love, joy, and kindness.

Christina leaves behind her devoted husband, Albert (Bud) Houck, whom she married in 1999. Their love story is one that has greatly inspired those around them. Together, they had three children: their eldest daughter Brianna Britten, their middle daughter Kaitlyn Houck, and their youngest son Zachary Houck. They were her pride and joy, her greatest achievements in life.

The world was a better place with Christina in it. Her personality was bubbly, loving, and kind-hearted, infectiously touching everyone she met. She was a lover of life’s simple pleasures. She delighted in the taste of her favorite chicken and gnocchi soup, indulged in the sweet richness of tiramisu, and found comfort in the familiar taste of sweet tea and apple juice.

Her interests were as warm and welcoming as her personality. Christina found solace in the pages of Anne Rice novels, enjoyed the music of Sugarland and Carrie Underwood, and reveled in the beauty of the color blue. Above all else, her favorite pastime was spending time with her kids and her husband, creating memories that they will forever hold dear.

Christina was a beacon of love and kindness, always reminding those around her to love, and to love hard. Her legacy will continue in the hearts of her three amazing kids and her loving husband of 25 years, who not only was her partner in life but also her best friend. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to live on through the love and memories she has left behind.

In the words of Winnie the Pooh, how lucky we are to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard. We mourn Christina's loss, but celebrate her life and all the joy she brought into this world. She will always be remembered and cherished in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew her.
