Christina Marie Gonzalez Buchanan went home to Jesus on June 22, 2022 at age 72.
Chris was born to Anthony and Frances Gonzalez on July 24, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri. Early on, Chris strongly excelled in her studies at Bishop Lillis High School in Kansas City, Missouri and continued to do so everywhere she went throughout her career which includes Hallmark Cards, Frito Lay, and as a retiree from Titus-Johnson Controls in November of 2018.
Chris met the love of her life, Dale Buchanan in Kansas City, originally from Sikeston, Missouri. They married on March 14, 1975, moved to Texas and went on to have two beautiful children, Stefanie and Sara.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Chris also worked tirelessly while she worked full-time at her employer's and at home making it a happy home. Her family meant everything to her as she enjoyed a simple and close-knit family. Chris is known for sending her favorite Maxine humorous greeting cards on special occasions to make people laugh. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God.
Chris joins her beloved husband Dale, parents, Anthony and Frances, and her brother, David, in Heaven. She is survived by her daughters Stefanie Hayslett (Jeff) and Sara Rhys (Tim), her sisters, Angela Medellin (Harry), Mary Lou Rios, Anna Marie Mendoza (Phillip) and Carmen Spink (John), brothers George, Tom (Jill) and Joe, and her pride and joy grandchildren JJ, Meredith and Caitlin along with numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.
Following cremation, the final resting place will be in Sikeston, Missouri with her beloved husband Dale. The Buchanan family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to everyone for keeping Chris in your hearts and prayers.
