Although in reality the truth behind her many names: the one she wrote on my birth certificate says Dinah Margaret Bourke.
Her Birth name, Christina, hence in Eire Dinah was short for that.
She went through most of her life known as Dinah, until the mid 1990s.
Her confirmation name was actually Bridget.
Of course, she married my father ,"Jack" Mangold(as he preferred) in June 1967.
As most know he passed in 1999.
Instead of writing of all the misconceptions, misunderstandings,erroneous judgements, it's better to explain the name "thing." Also an Irish "thing", I learned after living there, visiting there, it's just how they speak.

No more negative feelings towards anyone. In the end, the love for this beautiful woman who gave me life deserves the utmost honor for all her years on this earth. She would want her sisters, her entire family remembered, and I'll do my best to make these last wishes happen. It's not the fault of those who didn't know her well enough, or just weren't in her life much. They didn't know what she told us, closer to her. Can't turn back time but can make this into a loving, positive memory. A tree in her honor, with proper name, will also be planted in a place she loved to go.
