Christie's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christie Talbert-McDowell, a vibrant and loving woman, on December 17, 2023. Born on Dec 11, 1975, Christie lived a life filled with passion, love, and a steadfast determination embodied in her advice to always stand your ground and work hard.
Christie leaves behind her devoted husband, Robert McDowell, her son, Junior McDowell, and her adored daughter Ashlynn Talbert. With the same warmth and compassion she extended to her children, she welcomed her daughter-in-law, Sarah Jordan into the family fold. An exceptional grandmother, she dearly loved her granddaughters, Brooklyn Doughtery and Lyla McDowell.
Christie had a personality that was best described as passionate, loving, and firm. She described one of her greatest accomplishments as being an amazing grandmother, a testament to the deep love and care she had for her family. Her legacy, the love she shared and the relationships she built with friends and family will undoubtedly continue to echo in their hearts.
She had an appreciation for life's simpler pleasures. An ardent fan of Steven King, her love for the mysterious and thrilling was mirrored in her favorite TV shows like Teen Wolf, Supernatural, The Last Kingdom, and The Witcher. She found joy in classic movies like Pretty Women and displayed an innate sense of playfulness through her passion for games like Monopoly. With a keen love for her local Colorado Rockies team, she also loved spending time at home—her favorite local spot.
Christie’s favorite foods were a testament to her Californian roots, with a special love for In-N-Out, and she always enjoyed a good beverage from Dutch Bros. Beloved landmarks in California and Prescott represented her favorite vacation spots. A lover of the color purple, Christie's radiant spirit was as compelling as her favorite hue.
Christie Talbert-McDowell will be fondly remembered and tenderly missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. The love she had for her closest family and friends will forever be cherished.
