Christian's obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Christian Castro, a man whose exuberance for life left a lasting impact on all who knew him. Born on February 5, 1991, Christian began his journey into the world, a journey marked by joy, inspiration, and laughter. He left us too soon, departing this life on November 7, 2023.
Christian is survived by a loving family that includes his father, Ramiro Castro Sr., his mother, Cathy Castro, and his siblings Ramiro Castro, Pedro Castro, and Lucille Castro. He also is survived by Romina, Celeste, and Sergio, his half-siblings. There are countless others: aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws, friends, and co-workers, who were all incredibly impacted by Christian's life. Their hearts are filled with the memories of a brother and son whose laughter was a beacon of light in their lives.
Educational growth was important to Christian. He began his academic career in 1996, graduating from Shepard High School in Palos Heights, IL in 2008. He continued his education at Moraine Valley Community College, graduating in 2010. In 2013, seeking new horizons, Christian moved to Los Angeles, CA.
Christian’s desire to make the world a better place was evident in his volunteer work at the Benefits Assistance Clients’ Urban Project (BACUP). He served his community with the same passion and joy that he brought to his favorite hobby – dancing.
Christian, best remembered for his joyful, happy, funny, uninhibited, and inspired personality, taught us to love and laugh as much as we can. His greatest achievement was the ease with which he could bring laughter into a room. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, care, and laughter that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
His absence will be keenly felt by his family, friends, and the communities in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Arizona who loved him. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the "Help with Funeral and Celebration of Life Services" fund at https://everloved.com/life-of….
Christian Castro will forever remain in our hearts, and his spirit will continue to influence the world through the love and laughter he brought into so many lives.
