Christian's obituary

Christian Jon Anderson, age 66, passed away unexpectedly after a brief stay at Waukesha Memorial Hosptial.

Christian was born on February 27th, 1954 in Milwaukee, WI to Robert & Nancy Anderson. He attended Menomonee Falls North High School (class of ‘72) where he played football. He also worked for the family’s grocery business during his teen years.

Chris went to college at Minneapolis School of Art & Design, where he honed in on his love for photography.

Chris had a passion for the arts, especially music and photography. As a teen, he began playing guitar. He enjoyed jamming with friends and talking music with everyone he met.
He always had an eye for the perfect picture, and was often seen with his camera in hand. Chris had quite the career as a photographer, photographing concerts in the 70s like Pink Floyd and Alice Cooper. He also owned his own photography studio, Bertru Photography.

He also worked as a Marketing Account Executive for over 15 years.

Chris was the family tech guru. He was always up to date on the most recent apple products and his daughters would often call him for tech help.

Chris was known as “Dad” or “Daddy” to his two daughters Kyra & Colleen. Kyra has Chris’s artistic eye and witty sense of humor. Colleen saw her Dad’s importance for capturing the memories, and, like her Dad, is always there to be a sounding board for her loved ones. Colleen’s husband, Seth, was often referred to by Chris as his favorite son-in-law. The two of them often enjoyed talking music, and Chris was always wanting to know more about Seth’s current projects.

He was very loved as “Papa” to his grandchildren; Lukas, Adrian, Kaspar (who passed in 2011), Emaline, Will, Clara, and Leora. Papa and Lukas had a special bond, seeing that Luke is the oldest grandchild. Lukas loved listening to music with Papa, and listening to stories of the concerts he had attended.
Papa passed on his love for guitar to Adrian, and they enjoyed listening to music together. Kaspar enjoyed the best Papa cuddles in their short time here on earth together. Emaline always loved sharing new songs she was learning on the piano with Papa. Will and Papa loved talking sports, and Will would amaze Papa with all the statistics he could remember. Clara loved reading to Papa. He became her #1 reading buddy during virtual learning last spring. Leora loved every time Papa would FaceTime us, and often pretended to call Papa on her play phone.

Chris will be missed by many, but we are confident that he is already enjoying the comforting and eternal loving arms of his Savior Jesus and that we will be reunited with him in heaven.
