Christian's obituary
A bright life was cut short on the evening of June 11, 2025. We lost a beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend and so much more. Christian Ray Adams, 21 years young, was the most caring, loving, sensitive, intelligent, eccentric, creative, level-headed, goofy, animal lover you could ever meet.
Christian is survived by his mother and stepfather of the home, Dusty L. Vitzthum and John L. Blaser; Virgil R. Adams (father), Ivie E. Vitzthum (sister), and Ceara John (half-sister); Larry Vitzthum (grandfather); Glendora Pierce (grandmother 1947-2020); Laquietta Adams (grandmother); Myrcene Grove (niece); aunts – Brandy Dobelbower, Mishia O’Dell and Carmell Hickman; many cousins and other family that dearly love our sweet Christian.
Christian was born in Enid, Oklahoma on March 22, 2004 and lived in Independence, Missouri since 2019. He also lived in Minnesota for a short time and loved the winters. He enjoyed traveling and even enjoyed an Alaskan cruise with his family in 2014. Christian graduated from Truman High School in May 2023. He focused on tradesman skills during high school through Herndon Vocational Technical, achieving a certificate and obtaining his licensure for MIG/TIG Welding. He applied his skills and will be greatly missed at Western Forms, Inc. where he was working as a welder.
Family was very important to Christian and the memories he made with them. He acquired a passion of gaming around the age of nine or ten after watching his mom and older cousin, Ralee O’Dell, play. His favorite system was X-Box and preferred playing first person games. Christian was very passionate about Dungeons & Dragons or D&D and Magic The Gathering. These hobbies allowed him to be imaginative and spend quality time with his friends. He collected Pop! Heads, enjoying the search for the next one he didn’t yet have in his collection.
In lieu of flowers; the family requests plants to allow them to live on in Christian’s memory or donations to assist the family in these unexpected expenses.
Christian is being cremated per his wishes with a celebration of Christian’s life planned, date to be determined.
