It’s hard to put into words what Christena meant to me. We met while volunteering at the Heart and Stroke Foundation, drawn together by a shared desire to help others — something that came so naturally to her. Christena had a quiet, sweet strength and a genuine kindness that made everyone feel valued and seen. She was the kind of person who made the world a little softer, a little better, just by being in it. I feel lucky to have called her my friend, and I will carry her warmth and generous spirit with me always.
My husband and I are so sorry for the loss of your mother. Christina always had a smile on her face and her arms open to welcome everyone! May she rest in peace!

Blessings to Shannon and Carolyn who I have known since they were born. I will miss my dear friend Christena who phoned my for a lengthy chat on my birthday four days before her untimely passing. She spoke of her excited plans to visit Shannon and her grandbaby.  My condolences to their families who have lost a treasure in Christena who has now joined Dave once again. I will miss my friend and the many laughs we have had together over the forty some years we have known each other. God speed and God Bless.

Leslie

I am deeply sorry to hear about Christena's passing. I feel like I just saw her but realized it was actually back in September at the Tyson Family Reunion. One morning there she was handing out sheets with her mom's favourite sayings.  I got a copy and had a good chuckle as I read through them. It was nice to have that time and that laugh with her.

Shannon, Carolyn and families please accept deepest condolences from Kim and Peter White in Sault Ste. Marie. We had many fun times with Christena, Dave and Angie when we lived in London in the 1980s, attending their wedding, enjoying visits to their home and getting your grandmother up on the stage where I was performing while Christena looked on with a huge smile. We were delighted to see all of you last fall at the Tyson reunion and will now treasure that memory all the more. I am posting a couple of pictures of Christena from her aunt Alice's photo album.
My sincere condolences to Shannon , Carolyn and families for your sudden loss. I was so pleased to see you all at the Tyson reunion in September never thinking it would be the last time. I talked to her in January and we made plans to get together for lunch but with the crazy winter weather it didn't happen.
One of my fondest memories of Christina was when my mom had to work early I had to go to Shannon and Carolyn’s parents house before school (Emily Carr era) she was one that was up when the taxi drove up to drop me off.. prayers and hugs girls think my of you
