Christabelle's obituary

In Loving Memory of Christabelle Breazeale

December 25, 1933 – March 10, 2025

Christabelle Breazeale, 91, of Marietta, GA, peacefully departed this life at home with family on March 10, 2025. She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Samuel Breazeale, with whom she shared 66 wonderful years of marriage.

Christabelle dedicated her life to caring for others, both in her community and as a compassionate daycare provider for Child & Family Services. A proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she embraced sisterhood and service with grace. A gifted pianist from childhood, she could play any song she loved purely by ear. In addition to her many talents, Christabelle had a deep love for basketball and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her.

She was a loving mother to her three daughters: Vanessa Gail Harris (Retired 1st Sgt. Henry Harris Sr.) of Virginia Beach, VA; April Breazeale of Covington, GA; and Ramona Breazeale (Gary Ryles) of Acworth, GA. Her family was her greatest pride, and her warmth and wisdom left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Christabelle was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Russell and Leroy Russell, as well as her brothers: Ralph Benard Wilkins, Willie Lee Russell, Gary Lee Russell, James Edward Russell, and Charles Albert Russell.

She is survived by her sister, Millie Doris Anderson of Cowpens, SC; and her sisters-in-law: Mary Wilkins (wife of the late Ralph Bernard Wilkins), Mary Russell (wife of the late Willie Lee Russell), and Leola Russell (wife of the late James Edward Russell).

Her remarkable legacy continues through her 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Her legacy of love and cherished memories lives on in them all.

“Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” — Proverbs 31:28
