In Loving Memory of Chris Thompson
Christopher Dale Thompson departed from this world far too early on September 18, 2025.
Born on August 14, 1964, Chris was was preceded in death by his father, Earl Thompson, and his mother, Shelby Thompson.
Chris is survived by his beloved wife, Yvonne, his brother, Marty Thompson and wife Cecelia, and his stepmother, Judy Thompson. He will be forever cherished and missed by his family, including his children: Lori Radnoczi, along with her children Chloe, Julius, and Archie, and Joe Rose, his wife Tyler, and their son, Eli. Affectionately known as “Pappy” by his grandchildren, his death has left them heartbroken, yet they carry a lifetime of precious memories to cherish and share for years to come.
Chris was raised in Gary, West Virginia, and attended Mount View High School in Welch, West Virginia, graduating in 1982.
Following a successful career as Building Safety Deputy Director and Building Official with the city of Tempe, AZ, Chris retired in 2019. In his retirement, he devoted his time to his family and pursued his passion for golf.
A true friend to so many Chris's absence creates a void in many hearts. However, the family kindly asks that those who knew him well honor his memory by sharing fun stories and laughter, as his loving spirit continues to be with us.
The family welcomes you to join them for Chris’s Celebration of Life on October 11, 2025 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Apache Wells Country Club - 5601 E Hermosa Vista Dr, Mesa, AZ 85215.
