It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Chris Ihrig, who passed away on February 2, 2025. Born on May 29, 1965, Chris lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and trust.
Chris was a loving, outgoing, adventurous individual, blessed with a great sense of humor. He continuously put others before him, always making sure that everyone around him was comfortable and at ease. His spirited personality was an embodiment of joy and compassion, touching every life he encountered.
One of his most notable qualities was his love for his family and friends. Chris leaves behind his beloved wife, Kelly Ihrig, daughter, Catrina Skelly, son-in-law, Mike Skelly, and two grandsons, Cohen and Miles Skelly. His deep affection extended to everyone in his life. His love was genuine, profound, and selfless, providing comfort and solace to those fortunate enough to experience it.
Chris was an accomplished carpenter, exhibiting skill and craftsmanship in his work. He worked hard and he played hard. Fishing was his greatest love and he created so many wonderful memories with the people that he loved through fishing. Chris loved taking trips to the ocean with Kelly and Kinsey and traveling and camping in his trailer.
Chris shared significant life lessons with those around him. He firmly believed in loving with all your heart, in the importance of hard work, and in trusting yourself. His philosophies and life lessons continue to inspire, reminding us of the power of love, the value of trust and the importance of doing what you love.
As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his life, his accomplishments, and the love he shared. His memories shall be cherished forever. Chris Ihrig, a remarkable man, will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
