It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Chris Asberry, a man of remarkable heart and spirit. Born in 1964, Chris embarked on his final journey on August 9, 2023, leaving a void in our lives that could never be filled. He is sadly missed by his beloved wife Juanna, many daughters, son and a multitude of grandchildren.

A man of many talents, Chris's personality could be best described as a heartfelt song-bird, a devoted father, brother, and son. His gentle, jovial spirit and unmistakable voice resonated through everyone he met. Chris was the lead vocalist in several groups, including the men's choir at church, where his soulful melodies touched many hearts. A loving father, he leaves behind his five biological and two adopted daughters as well as his single son, his namesake, all of whom remain proud bearers of his legacy.

Chris was preceded in death by his sister, yet his memory will continue to live on through his surviving brother. Even though sorrowfully missed, his life and the good times shared with him remain a source of comfort and strength for his loved ones.

We invite you to join us in a Celebration of Life for Chris Asberry on August 20, 2023, at 1:00 PM at First Calvary Baptist Church. As we gather to pay our last respects, let us remember and celebrate the beautiful music of his life. His legacy of love, perseverance, and resilience continues to inspire us, and his memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
