Pastor Ang December 25,1951- January 29, 2023. IN LOVING MEMORY OF PASTOR ANG. Chin Ann Ang (John) came into this world on December 25, 1951 in Republic of Singapore in Southeast Asia to the late Ang Gim Seng and Tan Geok Hong. He was affectionately called "John" or "Pastor ". He made his triumphant transition to glory on January 29, 2023 with his eyes looking toward Heaven. Assuredly, the angels rejoiced at his arrival. John Ang grew up in the Republic of Singapore in Southeast Asia and joined the ministry following high school with his brother Alfred. He met and married the late Mrs. Wong Nyet Leong-Ang on 10 December 1977 and remained married to her for 38 years until her death in 2016. From this union two children were born, Josh (Susan) Ang, Springfield, MO. Naomi (Partner Alex) Ang, Springfield MO. In addition, he leaves five grandchildren, Ethan Ang, Elizabeth Ang, Jacob Norrell, Cadence Norrell, and Elora Norrell. To cherish his memory. He also leaves an ex Son -in-law Ben Norrell, God- Son Jeffrey Seah and Luu Nguyen, who remained close to him until his death. John Ang married Ms. Julie Hanline-Ang on May 20, 2017. They had been married for 5 years at the time of his passing. Their union joined her children to his family. She is the mother of Casey Hanline, Republic MO; Jamie Elrod, Macon MO and Chadra (Ronnie) Burton , Reno Nevada. John Ang is survived by his brothers: Ang Chin Hwa, Alfred Ang and Daniel Ang. Sisters: Baby Ang, Ang OH Bee, Betty Ang and Emilee Ang all of Republic of Singapore Southeast Asia. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. John was preceded in death by his mother and father and two brothers Ang Chin Hock and Ang Cheng Hoe. John Ang devoted his life serving God by ministering to various churches; out reach communities, Teen. Challenge, Red Cross, MO and KS Correctional Facilities. Springfield Police Dept. College Campus Ministery. He served God as a Teacher, Elder, Dementia Care Specialist as well as the Evangelical Ministerial Fellowship and Certified Christian Counselor to countless. He trusted God completely and listened daily for God's instructions. He was selfless, lived to please God and tried to allow God to order his steps. He was a great example of a man that followed God, and there is no doubt his legacy followed him to Heaven. A celebration of Life will be held at 11am on Saturday February 18, 2023 at The Glory Church 1901-E S. Glenstone Ave. Springfield MO 65804.
