Chief Apostle William's obituary
Obituary for Chief Apostle Eddie Williams II
With profound sorrow and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the transition of Chief Apostle Eddie Williams II, a beloved spiritual leader, father, grandfather, and servant of God. Apostle Eddie was a beacon of light to countless lives, a man whose unwavering faith, visionary leadership, and compassionate heart left an indelible mark on the world.
Apostle Eddie began his divine journey in 1971, answering the call of ministry under the mentorship of Apostle Charles Williams. Licensed as a minister and later ordained as an Elder, his foundation was built on obedience, dedication, and service. Following the passing of his grandfather, he was appointed Pastor of Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church, continuing the legacy with steadfast devotion.
In 1980, after hearing the unmistakable voice of God, Apostle Eddie embraced his apostolic calling, solidifying his mission to shepherd souls. That same year, he joined in holy matrimony with Apostle Gertrude R. Williams, his beloved wife and ministry partner. Together, they co-founded one of Charlotte, North Carolina’s largest and most impactful churches, a spiritual refuge that became a cornerstone in the community.
Over the decades, Apostle Eddie Williams II established over 16 churches across the United States, each one a testament to his apostolic vision and divine guidance. In 2001, he was elevated to the office of Chief Apostle, where he began to oversee ministries worldwide, nurturing pastors and guiding congregations with wisdom, humility, and anointing.
Apostle Eddie was preceded in death by his devoted wife Apostle Gertrude R. Williams, his beloved parents, and a host of cherished family members. He leaves behind a powerful legacy through his five sons, four daughters, seven grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and two adopted grandchildren, whom he fondly called his “special ones”: Dr. Makiah C. Williams and Youth Pastor Adam “Little Prophet” Williams, as well as Adam’s soon-to-be fiancée, Prophetess C. Ann Jones (“Theresa”).
Apostle Eddie’s life was a living sermon—his message, his love, and his service echo in the lives he touched. His Homegoing Celebration will be held at God’s House of Deliverance in Charlotte, North Carolina, where his voice once thundered with power, and his heart beat for the people of God.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord.” – Matthew 25:21
