Allen's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Chi Lun "Allen" Chan, fondly known as Allen, on March 10, 2025.
Allen was born on September 23, 1949, in Canton, and later made a life for himself in the United States. In his 75 years, Allen left a lasting impression on all those fortunate enough to have known him.
A man of remarkable skill and patience, he had a natural talent for working with his hands. Whether assembling and repairing cars or meticulously crafting remote control vehicles, Allen found joy in building and perfecting intricate machines. In this sphere, he stood out remarkably, winning multiple awards and trophies. His passion for mechanics extended to drones and photography, hobbies that reflected his keen eye for detail and appreciation for precision.
Allen was known for his laid-back nature and quiet wisdom. He never hovered. His relaxed and approachable demeanor made him a joy to be around. His ability to teach himself complex skills was a testament to his determination and ingenuity. In his lifetime, Allen imparted many valuable lessons, the most important among them was to respect your elders and foster the things you enjoy in life.
Allen is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy Chan; his children, Tina Chan-Browne, Cassie Wong, and Alex Chan; and his cherished grandchildren, Connor Browne, Logan Browne, Luca Wong, and Graylen Wong. Additionally, he leaves behind his sisters, Yee Chu Joe and Yu Po Lau. He was predeceased by his mother, Shui Chun Chan, and sister, Sing Wan Tam.
A viewing will be held on March 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Glascott Funeral Home, located at 102-03 Metropolitan Ave, Flushing, New York, 11375.

Allen's life was a testament to the fact that one does not need to speak loudly to make a difference; his quiet wisdom, his patience, his craftsmanship, and his quiet strength will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
