Chhiv Huy's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Chhiv Huy “Chief” Ngov, who left us too soon on December 14, 2024. Born in 1967, she was known by many as Linda, but most affectionately as “Chief.” Chhiv lived a remarkable life defined by love, kindness, and unwavering integrity. Her wisdom and heartfelt advice, always delivered with care and respect, touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Chhiv’s loss leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Greg Lopez; her loving parents, Po Lin and Hong, her brothers Hak, Thai, and Long; and her sisters Anita, ChhivLy, and Kristina, who cherished her compassionate presence and steadfast support. Her love for life was truly contagious—she had a unique way of making those around her feel valued, understood, and deeply loved.
Her generous spirit, radiant smile, and unyielding determination will remain etched in our memories forever. Chhiv had a rare gift for lifting others, always sharing a kind word or a warm embrace that brought light into every room she entered. Her legacy of love, resilience, and joy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
While our hearts are heavy with grief, we find solace in knowing that Chhiv Huy’s memory will live on in the stories we share, the lives she touched, and the love she so freely gave. May her spirit guide us, and may her light shine eternally in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, a fundraising campaign named "Help with Funeral Expenses" has been started at https://everloved.com/life-of… to help the family through this difficult time.
As we mourn Chhiv’s passing, let us remember and celebrate her life by spreading the love and kindness that she embodied.
