Chester's obituary

Chester Wells, 75, of Dallas, Tx, passed away on March 17, 2022 after a  battle with congestive heart failure . Chester was born on February 28, 1947 to Marjorie and Marion Wells in Dallas. After graduating from Bryan Adams High School in 1965, he  went on and joined the U.S. Marine Corps. During his service he spent time in Vietnam War as part of Reconnaissance -a small elite and fearsome team. In the 1960's, he met Janet Autrand, and they wed in 1969, going on to have 1 child  , David Wells . He eventually divorced and went on to remarry in 1981 to Sonya Sanders and had  3 children, Jason Wells, Sunny Wells and Dolly Wells.  His kids and grandkids  meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was so proud of them and always tried his best to support them. He would often spend most of his days in his most recent years with the grandkids. He cherished all his time with them. Chester loved to work with his hands. His passion was working in home construction doing everything from building a home ground up to putting the last drop of paint on the wall. He knew how to do it all after having over 50 years of experience. A trade he passed down to many men in his family. Chester was also a passionate fisherman,  bowler and gambler and could often be found fishing or gambling when he wasn’t at home.

Anyone who knew Chester knew that he was the most charismatic person and always up for an adventure! Making everyone laugh with his boisterous laughter and his funny stories. He was just a fun character to be around.  Chester was preceded in death by his mother Marjorie Wells, father Marion Wells, sister Anna Capps, son David Wells,  grandson Eric Chicas, nephew Chris Clanton and many others.   He is survived by his children Jason Wells, Sunny Wells and Dolly Wells, grandkids Kailynn Wells, Grayson Wells, Dane Brenden Jr., Leighton McCasland,  Chelsea Rawson, Elizabeta Wells and many others.  The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to 2221 Diane Dr. Mesquite, Tx. 75149. There will be a  memorial/celebration of life on March 25, 2022 from 5-6 pm at The Northeast Church- 318 N. Shiloh Rd. Garland, Tx. 75042.
