Chester's obituary
Chester "Chet" R. Saburn Jr. (78), passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 6th. He was born on Oct 27, 1943 to Chester and Hattie Saburn. A life long Floridian, Chet graduated from Rivera Beach High School and received college degrees from PBCC and FAU. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force and worked as a jet engine technician during his service.
Upon returning to civilian life, he worked for Pratt and Whitney as a jet engineer for 30 plus years. He retired but missed his jet engines and went back to working on them as a contractor until last week. Chet also found time to work as an auxiliary police officer for the Lake Worth Police Department and taught gold and silver smithing through Palm Beach Community College in his younger years.
In his spare time he loved doing jewelry and lapidary work, and he enjoyed the outdoors, playing his guitar, and loved to dance.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his life partner Charleen, children Chester and Michelle and three grandchildren.
His service will be held Saturday May 14th at 3 pm at The Del Lago Chapel located at 131 S. Lakeside Dr in Lake Worth Fl, 33460
