Cheryl's obituary

Cheryl Westermann, a beloved Christian and Crafter, passed away on December 25, 2023, in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born on July 18, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri. Cheryl was a compassionate soul who dedicated her life to her family which was a testament to her unwavering faith in her Lord.

Cheryl had a passion for helping others. She obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy from the prestigious St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Her commitment to excellence and her unwavering work ethic made her an exceptional healthcare professional. Beyond her successful career, Cheryl's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She was not only a devoted wife to David Westermann but also his best friend and companion through thick and thin. Their love of almost 42 years radiated through their every interaction and became an inspiration to all who had the privilege of witnessing it.

Cheryl took great pride in being a Namaw to her eight grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating treasured memories that will be passed down from generation to generation. Whether it was gathering around the dinner table or embarking on exciting adventures, Cheryl's love for her family knew no bounds.

One of Cheryl’s greatest joys in life was her crafts. Outside of her professional and familial duties, Cheryl was an artist with an amazing gift that shone through various hobbies and interests. Crafting, quilting, sewing, cross-stitching, and beading were her outlets of creativity. Through these endeavors, she honed her craftsmanship and created beautiful pieces that brought joy to others.

For many years, family time was spending fun weekends at Kentucky Lake with her loved ones. Boating and camping became cherished traditions that allowed everyone to unwind, connect with nature, and create lasting bonds. In 1995, Cheryl and David embarked on a move to Colorado. The breathtaking view of the Colorado Mountains always held a special place in Cheryl's heart.

Cheryl is survived by her mother, Corena Ressel and preceded in death by her father, Emery Frank Miller. Cheryl is also survived by her husband, David Westermann and their son Daniel Westermann and wife Bonnie and children Bryce and Mason, their daughter, Ashley Brumfield and husband John and their children Kaden and Kolter, their son Chris Westermann and wife Sarah and their children, Alex, Adam, Emma Rose, and Evelynn, and their son Bradley Westermann.

Cheryl also leaves behind her sister Patty Schaefer, brothers Rick Miller, Rob Miller, and her aunt Jane Obermann and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

The world is a better place because Cheryl Westermann graced it with her kindness and compassion. Her legacy of love, generosity, and commitment to making a difference will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. We know she is resting in the loving arms of her Savior.

A celebration of life service is planned for Saturday, January 27, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Chaffee, MO. The service will begin at 10:30, with light refreshments to follow.
