Cheryl's obituary

Cheryl Harkins, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 7th 2024, at the age of 66. She was surrounded by her loving family, who will forever cherish her memory.

Cheryl was born on June 14th 1958 in Garden Grove California to Donald and Barbara (Cooley) Gamble and grew up with her beloved sisters Carol and Kathy (deceased) and a brother Kenny.

She married the love of her life, David Harkins, and together they shared a beautiful 30 years filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another.

Cheryl’s greatest joy was her family. She was the proud mother of five children, Michael(Andrea), Christina(Zephaniah Sr), Samantha, Bridget(Tanner) ,and Timothy(Margaret), and a loving grandmother to ten grandchildren: Zephaniah Jr, Alexis, Josiah, Tatiana, Cameron, Ollivander, Roransen, Riley, Maverick, and Remi. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her children and grandchildren, who were fortunate to experience her kindness, wisdom, and unconditional love.

Cheryl was a woman of deep faith and compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was known for her warm heart, infectious smile, and a spirit of generosity that touched all who knew her. Her ability to make others feel seen and valued was one of her greatest gifts.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara, her sister, Kathy, and her granddaughter, Cameron, who will be dearly missed by Cheryl’s family.

Cheryl’s passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew her, but her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to inspire all who were blessed to call her family and friend.

A celebration of life will be announced at a future date.
