Cheryl's obituary

Cheryl Susan Engleman, known affectionately as Cheryl Sue, passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2026, in Cable, Wisconsin.

She was a beacon of love and creativity, born on October 29, 1963, in Waterford, Wisconsin, to her devoted parents, Mark and Eileen Ryanlyn.

Cheryl was a proud graduate of Waterford Union High School, where she cultivated a passion for learning and creativity that would shine throughout her life.

After completing her education, she embarked on a journey of love and partnership, marrying her soulmate, Peter Engleman. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering support for each other.

Blessed with a nurturing spirit, Cheryl embraced motherhood with open arms, raising her daughters, Lynn (Brian) Nicholson and Erica (Nick) Fleck, to be strong, kind-hearted individuals. She instilled in them the values of love, kindness, and the importance of family, which they carry forward as her legacy.

Cheryl's joy multiplied with the arrival of her grandchildren, Sarah, Rebecca, and Oliva, whom she adored and cherished with every fiber of her being.

She also held a special place in her heart for her niece, who was like a daughter to her, Susan, and her grandson, Nathan Scott, showering them with the same boundless love and affection.

Cheryl's life was a vibrant tapestry of interests and hobbies, but her most cherished moments were those spent surrounded by her family.

Creativity was one of Cheryl's most defining traits, manifesting in the beautiful things she created and the innovative ideas she brought to life. Her kind and creative spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Cheryl's life was a beautiful reflection of the words that best describe her: loving, kind, and creative. Her legacy will continue to inspire and influence generations to come. While her departure from this world was unexpected, the impact of her presence will be felt for eternity.

Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 W National Ave, New Berlin, Wisconsin, from 4:30 PM -6:30 PM on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026. Services will be at 11:30 AM, with a luncheon and fellowship to follow on Thursday, February 19th, 2026, at Norway Lutheran Church, 6321 Heg Park, Wind Lake, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to any charity would bring the most happiness to Chery Sue and her family.  With the words of Kindness attached.
