A remarkable educator, dear friend and beloved family member, Cherri was a true animal advocate. She never met a dog or cat she didn't stop to pet, speak to lovingly, or find out something about. Her animal family included many, and she would even feed those who stopped by her place outside for a brief respite. Everyone who knew Cherri understood her two great loves in life: kids and animals. An amazing teacher, she is remembered most for her kindness, unique style of teaching, and ability to reach the most difficult children. It stands to reason that she is greatly missed & loved by anyone who ever had the privilege of knowing her. Because of her great love for animals and also because it would be such a fitting tribute to this incredible woman, the Stott Family, along with the Cyrzan, Flowers, & Schuenemann families, wish to pay homage to Cherri by providing this donation opportunity in her memory to help save the pets and animals she loved so much. Cherri grew up in Indiana and lived in the Indianapolis area before moving to Illinois. She would be happy to know that any funds from this memorial would be going to Helping Paws, an organization in both Indiana & Illinois that she supported during her life time. Cheryl saved more pets in her lifetime than one could ever imagine! Though she had her own cats & dogs, she was always willing to find a home or save another. She volunteered at various animal shelters in the area over the years, and contributed to the health & safety of the pets inside. A donation to Helping Paws would be an amazing tribute to someone who dedicated her life to kids & animals. It's what she would want and love more than anything else. Your donation acknowledges the profound bond she shared with pets and the joy she found in the company of animals during her lifetime.
