Cheryl's obituary
Cheryl Armstrong, a cherished mother, sister, and grandmother, peacefully passed away on September 22, 2015, at the age of 70. Born on September 1, 1945 in Portland, TN, Cheryl lived a life full of love, kindness, and devotion to her family and the causes she deeply cared about.
She leaves behind her loving daughter, Tammy (Duke) Porter, her sisters, Teresa (Donnie) Mallory and Joanne (Bobby) Wheeler, and her brother, Stevie Forbis. Her radiant spirit will continue to live on in her granddaughter, Hannah Dillon, whom she cherished and supported with immense love and care. Cheryl was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Armstrong. They were married 43 years.
Cheryl was a woman of many passions. She loved fishing on Lake Okeechobee, basking in the serenity of nature, and relishing the simple joys of life. She had an innate ability to find beauty in the ordinary and inspire those around her to do the same.
Cheryl's beautiful soul, her loving heart, and her unwavering devotion to her family will always be remembered. Her legacy will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we bid her farewell, we remember the love, the laughter, and the lessons she shared with us. Rest in peace, dear Cheryl. You are missed but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Red Barn at Crafton Farms, 209 Crafton Road, Portland, TN, September 27, 2:00-4:00 pm.
