Cheryl's obituary
It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Cheryl Walker, a beloved mother, and cherished friend. Cheryl finished her two and a half year battle with breast cancer early Friday morning. Cheryl was born on the 16th of September 1957, and peacefully joined her parents (Marlin and Rose Ford) in the presence of Jesus on the 12th of September 2025, just shy of her 68th birthday.
Cheryl was a devoted wife to her husband of 43 years, Kelvin. She proudly raised her three kids (Christopher, Daniel and Melissa) and celebrated her daughters-in-law (Lindsey and Angela) and her beloved grandchildren (Chapman, Parker, Knox and Maren). Cheryl was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her family with her entire being. Cheryl will forever be loved and remembered by her family.
Cheryl was known for her generous heart, and her unwavering kindness. She loved God and served others in a way that pointed them towards Jesus. Cheryl's life was a testament to love, dedication, and the profound impact that one person can make through simple acts of kindness.
Her legacy of kindness and loving others will continue to inspire and touch the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Cheryl’s loving memory will remain etched in our hearts, a beacon of love and kindness for all of us to follow.
The family invites you to a funeral service to honor Cheryl's life and legacy. It will be held on the 16th of September 2025, at 11:00am at the Vaughn Funeral Home in Spring City, TN. Visitation will be held on the 15th of September 2025, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the same location.
We ask that as you remember Cheryl, you celebrate the life she lived and the love she gave so freely. Her spirit lives on in everyone she met, with every act of kindness they perform, perpetuating the love of God and kindness that Cheryl embodied.
In memory of Cheryl, let’s continue to spread kindness and the love of God to those around us, the most fitting tribute to a life so beautifully lived.
