Nelly was predeceased by her great grandparents, Henry & Christine Laurie, Oatis & Mildred Gibson, grandparents, Melvin L. Jones & Harry Hooks Sr., sibblings, Elijah L. Jones & Victoria J. Jones. She is survived by parents Candace L. Hooks- Jones & Melvin L. Jones Jr., grandparents, Evelyn Hooks & Rita Joe Britt, aunts, Patricia H. Johnson & Michelle L. Grady, uncles, Henry Laurie Jr., Harry Hooks Jr. a.k.a. uncle Shugg and Lamont Franklin a.k.a. uncle Mont, sibblings, Christian K. Jones, Andre B. Jones, Prince L. Jones, Melvin L. JonesIII, Janelle Jones, Erica Smith(David Smith), Brittiney N. Zak(Benjamin Zak)and a large host of cousins and friends that loved Nelly dearly and will miss her strong, ambitious, funny, musical and poetic spirit that lived & loved everybody yet, will undoubtedly live on in our hearts FOREVER.
