In lieu of flowers

Please consider a contribution to A Memorial fund to go towards Chelsea’s son, Mykah.

Background

My sweet Chelsea passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 4, 2025. She loved life! She loved her job and was able to take care of and be there for her 13 year old son, Mykah. Mykah is very smart, very well-mannered and if you know anything about him, he loves and is involved in every sport possible.

When Chelsea passed away, myself, along with many others said, “I don’t understand why God would allow her to be taken from us. Why would God let her beautiful light go out of this world?”  But it’s the wrong question. Why not Chelsea?  We live in a broken world. The Lord is preparing a room for each of us as we speak It’s just a matter of timing, His timing. The Lord refined her and prepared the way. We are simply passing through this moment world. It’s temporary. Our eternal home is where we all strive to be. There will be no more death or the parting of loved ones…or questions!   In the meantime, Chelsea’s special light should live on in each of us. If her love illuminated the way for someone in particular, I urge them to not let her light go out. The most important things in Chelsea’s life was Jesus, her family and Mykah. He was her world. So, in her memory, make yourselves shine brighter and brighter! If you have provided meals, previous donations to the family, called, text, visited or simply prayed for us, we want to thank you. All we ask is that you continue the prayers in the days to come as they are much needed. Pray specifically for Mykah. The outpouring of love and kindness from our church and community is felt in so many ways and we pray Mykah continues the legacy of his Mom as being kind, loving and as compassionate as she was. We love you all!
