Chelsea Payton Gann passed away unexpectedly on November 28th, 2025 at 42 years old. She was born in Nashville, TN on October 19th, 1983. Chelsea graduated from the University of Mississippi with degrees in both Psychology  and  Biology. After graduating, she moved to Dallas, TX. There she worked as a mental health professional before leveraging her creativity and passion for understanding human behavior to transition into a career in UX design. Chelsea was a force of nature, known for her infectious laugh and adventurous spirit, as well as her creativity that flowed into her art projects with painting, macrame, and other artistic endeavors. Chelsea was an avid traveler and spent years traveling the world and exploring new cultures. She lived life to the fullest and especially enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Her vibrant personality and boundless energy left a lasting impression on all those around her. 

Chelsea is preceded by her mother Susanne Ward Pruett, her grandmother Jean Williams, her grandfather G.B. Williams, her grandfather Jack Ward, grandmother Opal Gann, and grandfather George Gann.

She is survived by her father Jerry Gann, her stepfather John Pruett, and her siblings Zachary (Amanda) Gann, Hailey (Zackary McPhail) Gann, Anne Marie (Christopher) Pfeiffer, Madeline Pruett, and Isabel Pruett.

A celebration of Chelsea’s life will be held at 4201 Victory Rd., Mount Juliet, TN 37122 on December 20th at 3:00 p.m. with a reception to follow.
