Chaunte's obituary

Chaunte Michele Briere, 46 years old, passed away at home in Acton, MA on July 15, 2024, from complications of serious brain disease. Chaunte is pre-deceased by her parents, the late Jerome “Jay” Briere and Leslie (McHale) Briere. She is survived by her uncles and their wives: Kevin and Laura Briere, Rodney and Mara Briere, and her step mother, Cindie Manser Briere, who all assumed parental roles. Chaunte was raised as siblings with her cousins, MiKayla and Andreea, who loved their big sister.

Chaunte was a Wheaton College, magna cum laud graduate in psychology and business. She worked as an executive assistant and was known for her organizational abilities. She facilitated the administrative component of Pet Au Pair, a successful pet-sitting business in Bedford, MA, which she especially enjoyed since it was helping pets and their families. She was a certified peer recovery specialist where she used her strength, hope and experience to assist others having difficult times.

Chaunte was an accomplished musician, artist, baker, and cook. Her thoughtfulness exceeded her generosity in sharing her many talents with others. She ran sing-a-longs, crafted jewelry, drew zen pictures, baked and cooked like a pro. Chaunte was a sweet, kind, gentle person. She was a good friend, loyal, available, and compassionate. As a family member, she was fierce and non-judgmental, striving to do the right things and ready to listen, help, guide, whatever was needed. Chaunte shone a light that brightened the way for everyone she touched. We miss her.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday Sept 14 at Wellington State Park in Bristol NH.
