----------------------------------------

Chauncine Margaret Clausen (Green), 74, of Albany, OR, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2023. Her wishes were to be cremated and later interred at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD, where a memorial will take place next summer. A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help St. Mary's in Albany at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15, with rosary beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Chauncine was born on December 17th, 1948, in Deadwood, SD, to Chauncey & Erma (Conklin) Green. She attended school in Deadwood, Pierre, Rapid City, and Sturgis, SD. Chauncine married Marvin Proctor and they had 2 children: Mark, and Shannon.

She married her husband, Tom Clausen, on August 18, 1988, and they enjoyed 35 devoted years together. She gained two more children with that union, her stepdaughters: Tammy & Tiffany Clausen.

Chauncine spent most of her life caring for children and many others that she welcomed into her home. She was also active in the Catholic church and goodwill organizations like the Jaycees. She loved to travel, fish, play cards, and take care of all her people. Chauncine had a big heart and did her best to share it with everyone who came into her life. Her laughter was infectious, and she was quick to give a hug, even to strangers who needed one.

She is survived by her husband, Tom, her daughter, Shannon Proctor, of Albany, OR; daughter-in-law, Kayla Zirpel-Proctor Orr of St. Paul, MN; 1 granddaughter, Katelyn Henderson; 3 grandsons, Reece Proctor of Rapid City, SD; RJ Proctor-Hussey of Oregon City, OR; and Sean Proctor-Hussey of Oregon City OR; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Donna Mae, her brothers, Delmar Green and Donald Green, her son, Mark Proctor, and her daughters, Tammy Clausen & Tiffany Claussen.
