Chase Ryan Creel, born on May 14, 1988, in San Antonio, Texas, passed away on July 9, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the cherished son of Sherrie Edwards and David Creel.

Chase leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through his two beloved sons, Ranger Dawson Creel (with Jade Surré), 9, and Ryan Lawson Creel, 4. He also leaves behind his devoted wife, Laurie Rene Simmons, whom he met in 2004 at Churchill High School in San Antonio. Their love story began in high school, blossoming into a lifelong bond as sweethearts.

Chase was a remarkable man, known for his deep love of music, poetry, movies, science fiction, history, and mysteries. He had an immense sense of humor that was unmatched by any other person—he was so funny, so sweet, and so docile. His kindness knew no bounds; he would give you the shirt off his back, even if he was shoeless. Chase was always caring about others and loved everybody he met.

He was a talented musician, gifted in writing and playing music, and found joy in working with his hands, especially on his trucks and vehicles. His passion for life extended to the wonders of the world around him.

Most importantly, in the last year of his life, Chase found his salvation in Jesus Christ, embracing his faith with the same passion he brought to all his pursuits. His love for Christ brought him peace, and we find comfort knowing he is now flying high in heaven, held in the embrace of his Savior.

Chase was a man of immense intelligence and beauty, a soul that, in many ways, seemed too bright for this world. Though he has left us too soon, his spirit and love will continue to shine through those who knew him.

May he rest in eternal peace, knowing that he was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
