Charlotte's obituary

Charlotte Louise Smith McCarthy, 73 of Lincolnton, passed away at her residence on July 12, 2023. Charlotte was born on November 08, 1949 to the late Theodore R. and Veda D. Burt Smith in Glen Falls, NY. She was married to John McCarthy for 54 years. Charlotte worked at Caromont Regional Medical Center as a transporter until she retired. She loved helping the patients she worked with and loved all of her co-workers. Charlotte loved to take vacations like going on cruises. She loved sunbathing, playing the slot machines, fishing, and planting flowers in her flower beds. Charlotte enjoyed spending time with her family, especially on family outings.

Charlotte is survived by her beloved husband, John Raymond McCarthy, one daughter, Christy Wilson and husband Robby of Bessemer City, one son, John McCarthy, Jr. of Morganton, three brothers; Theodore (Teddy) Smith, Johnny Smith, and Thomas (Tommy) Smith, three sisters; Kathleen Schultz, Sylvia Estabrook, and Anna Bonneau, two grandchildren; Kasi and Lucas, three great-grandchildren; Breea, Tristan, and Chandler, one sister-in-law, Cheri Pruitt, and many other cherished realtives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday July 22, 2023 at Hillview Baptist Church 403 Dallas Stanley Hwy,Dallas, NC. 28034
