Charlotte Marie Trautmann, 77, long-time resident of Clark, NJ, passed on Wednesday, December 12th at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains.

Charlotte was born to Phillip and Marie Myers on December 23rd, 1940, in Newark, NJ. She graduated from Union High School in 1959 and attended Drake Business School. She married, and is survived by, her husband of 53 years, Horst Trautmann. They raised their family in Union and Clark.

She leaves behind two children: Eric Trautmann (Denise) of Colonia, and Jennifer Ciuba of Linden, five grandchildren: George Bogner, Kaitlin Ciuba, Avery, Miranda, and Sophia Trautmann, and her sister Pamelia Myers (Joseph McGuire) of Colonia.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Michael Ciuba.

Charlotte was a proud mother and grandmother – her family was her greatest joy. She enjoyed spending time with family, her close friends, and her many beloved pets throughout the years. She retired from her job as a school library aide in Scotch Plains in 2009, and worked for Bell Telephone in her younger years.
