Background
This cause is deeply meaningful to our family as Charlotte lived with both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis for most of her life. As the disease progressed, it gradually took away her ability to engage in many of the creative hobbies she loved, but it never took her spirit. When one craft became too painful, she simply found another—shifting from painting to crochet to quilting—always creating, always adapting. Her resilience and determination to keep making things, despite chronic pain and loss, is a powerful reminder of why arthritis research, support, and advocacy matter so much.
