Charles William Wilson III, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. Born on January 5, 1981, in Pontiac, Michigan, Charles departed this world far too soon on November 4, 2021, in Roanoke, Texas. He graced those around him with his presence for 40 meaningful years.
Charles was the cherished son of Charles Wilson and Teresa Wilson, who preceded him in death, along with his dear grandfather. Their memories inspired him throughout his life, and he spoke of them often, carrying their legacy of love and kindness forward.
On March 12, 2004, in Waco, Texas, Charles married the love of his life, Brandi Wilson. Together, they built a beautiful family filled with laughter, love, and adventure. Charles was an immensely proud father to his children: Laynee, Breanna, and Charles IV. Each of them inherited his sharp wit, boundless energy, and innate kindness. He took great joy in guiding them, sharing his wisdom, and watching them grow.
Charles was a man of remarkable qualities—helpful, funny, smart, and outgoing. His humor could light up any room, his intelligence was unparalleled, and his generosity knew no bounds. He was a friend to many and a stranger to none. Always the first to lend a hand, Charles made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.
His life of service began when he joined the US Army on September 20, 2000. In the military, Charles exhibited the same dedication and loyalty that he brought to all aspects of his life. His service to his country was a source of immense pride and he carried the values of courage and honor with him long after his military career ended.
- Charles is survived by his loving wife, Brandi Wilson, his adored children, Laynee, Breanna, and Charles IV, his devoted sister, Jennifer Caddick, and brother-in-law Dean Caddick. He was the beloved uncle to his nephews, John and Zack, who will forever treasure the memories of their uncle’s stories, wisdom, and jokes.
