CHARLES WARREN(Charlie) KNAPP, 80 of Cumming Georgia died suddenly on 8/31/25. Charlie was the third child of thirteen from the marriage of Georgianna Haas and Richard Knapp. Born in Saint Paul and raised in Excelsior Minnesota, Charlie attended Saint John the Baptist Catholic School and Benilde High School. Drafted into the US Army and primarily served in the 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment (the Brave Rifles) near Baumholder Germany. Settled in Rochester MN for a time working as an apprentice toolmaker and a bus driver, moved to the Twin Cities working for Medicine Lake Lines, Minnesota Coaches and for Metro Transit. Charlie was retired for many years and enjoyed fishing and traveling. Charlie was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Dawsonville GA. Preceded in death by parents Georgianna and Richard, Son James, Brothers Richard, Michael and Gregory, Sisters-in-Law Adelia and Nancy, Brothers-in-Law Richard Owens and Arthur Rosenberg. Survived by Sons Charles(Julianne) and Timothy(Temptie), former wife Patricia, Sisters Claudia Owens, Kathryn(William) Hanz, Patricia(Butch) Lambert, Georgianna(James) Saumweber, Elizabeth(Mark) Newsome, Brothers Francis, Joseph(Deborah), John(Vicky), Henry, Sisters-in-Law Ione and Sara, 10 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation at 9AM prior to Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM on Wednesday, April 29 at Saint Agnes Church, 535 Thomas Ave, Saint Paul MN. Burial 2PM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Saint Agnes School.
