Charles's obituary
Charles Walter “Chucky” Jupp, age 54, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on August 10, 1971, in Milwaukee, he was the youngest son of Larry Jupp and the late Shirley (Brice) Berthiaume.
Chucky’s life was shaped by the people around him, and while he faced challenges and wasn’t always as present as he hoped to be, he cared for his family in his own way. He is survived by his father, Larry Jupp; his children Alyssa Hergert, Trevor Hergert, Carissa Jupp, Casey Jupp, and Gabriella Hergert; and his many grandchildren — Noah and Alma; Zena and Havyn; Alicia, Aria, Alaya, Alivia, and Miley; Elijah, Angelo and Leylani; who held a place in his heart.
He is also survived by his siblings Greg Jupp, Wendy Jupp, Dykes (Jeff) Jupp, Derick Allison, and Farran Merila, along with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews who will remember him in their own meaningful ways.
Chucky had a loyal companion in his blue nose pit bull, Big Boy, who rarely left his side. He also had a lifelong love for cars, especially Chevy Camaros (his favorite) and Cadillacs, which reflected his appreciation for style and performance and also brought him joy.
Those who knew Chucky will remember his humor, his stubborn spirit, and the moments of connection he shared. His story, like all lives, was imperfect but meaningful, and he will be remembered by those who knew him in the ways that mattered most to them.
Chuck was preceded in death by his mother Shirley; his dog Big Boy; uncles Roger, Joseph & Kenny and aunt June.
“Grief is like the ocean; it comes in waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim.”
