Charles's obituary
Charles V. Wilson, of Royersford, PA, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 21, 1943, to his loving parents George and Florence Wilson and brother George Jr. Wilson. Charles lived a life defined by service, love, and dedication. A proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Charles began his adult life by serving his country with honor and distinction.
Following his military service, Charles built a successful and rewarding career in IT systems, where his expertise and hard work earned him the respect of his colleagues. However, it was his family that truly defined his life. Charles married the love of his life, Marjorie Wilson, and together they created a family filled with love, joy, and cherished memories. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family, always placing them at the center of his world.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Marjorie Wilson, and his two daughters: Deborah Donato (spouse Bruce Donato) and Alexandra Ashworth (spouse Jaroslav Blazek). He is also survived by his stepchildren: Harry White (spouse Deborah White), Kelly White, Brian White (spouse Jackie White), and John White (spouse Lisa White).
He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: John Ashworth (spouse Rachel Ashworth), David Ashworth, Jessica Donato, Mia Donato, Vince Palazzolo (spouse Bridget Palazzolo), Giovanna Mammele (spouse Ryan Mammele), Nina Faircloth (spouse Ben Faircloth), Nicole Viola (fiancé Tyler Lee), Megan Wheeler (spouse Patrick Wheeler), Martina White, Amanda White, John Jr. White, Andrew White, and Natalie White.
Charles also took great joy in his great-grandchildren: Vincent Donato, Lilly Ashworth, Emmett Ashworth, Noah Ashworth, Rosalia Palazzolo, Sicilia Palazzolo, Will Wheeler, Maddie Wheeler, Natalia Viola, Olivia Mammele, Evan Mammele, Ewan Faircloth, and Lydia Faircloth.
A private family service will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940, on October 7, 2024, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial gifts be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to honor Charles’ memory and his love for children and family.
Charles lived a full and rich life, always surrounding himself with the people he loved most. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.
