Charles Richard Tolley, age 83 from Manassas, Va. left this world for heaven on February 11, 2021 in his home. Charles Richard Tolley was born on April 17, 1937 in Washington, D.C. He attended a public vocational school where he developed his amazing talent and love for art.
He married and raised a family in Glenn Dale, Md. Charles was a graphic designer for the D.C government, interior designer, art director, and business owner during his life.
He was a man of great faith who loved God, his family, and the Catholic Church. Charles also had a great love of sports and was an avid Nationals baseball and Washington Football Team fan. He loved to dance and make those around him laugh. Later, in his life he and Irena, traveled many places together including their European dream trip of a lifetime.
Charles Richard is survived by his wife, Irena Tolley of Manassas,Va. His three sons, Marc Tolley, Joel Tolley (wife Mary), and Eric Tolley. Two grandchildren, Luke and Jena Tolley. His loving brother John Tolley (wife Julia) and sister Diane Gaynor (husband Rick) and a brother in law, Myron Dolnycky. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Albert Tolley and Evelyn Bailey and two other sisters (Barbara Roberts and Marie McCarthy).
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date with family.
