Charles's obituary
Charles Steven Davis, passed away peacefully the morning of Saturday, August 19th, 2023, at the age of 65 while temporarily living in Atlanta, GA. Charles was born to the parents of Viola Davis and Charles Hill in Philadelphia, PA on June 8th, 1958.
Charles grew up in Southwest Philadelphia and graduated from Bartram High School just a few blocks from his home. Shortly after graduation joined and served in the US Army and was awarded top in his class as a Sharpshooter.
Charles briefly lived in Oakland, California, where he found his passion in the Glass Glazing industry and learned the trade. Thereafter he moved back to his hometown of Philadelphia and started his own Glazing business. He became a long-time business owner of Continental Glass Company for over 35 years.
Charles was full of endless jokes and laughter, wisdom, valuable advice, and a listening ear. He was a hard-working businessman, a family protector, a kind and compassionate spirit, and the most resilient, strong, and loving man. Friends and family were everything to Charles, he took pride in spending time with his beautiful grandchildren, who truly looked up to him.
He was well known as the “Glass Man”. He took the utmost pride in the work he provided around his community. Charles enjoyed traveling, a love for just being outdoors and enjoying the warmth of the sun.
His life was a living example of Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Charles parented five wonderful children. Daughter, Carolyn with Mother Miley Davis. Son’s Steven and Kenyatta with Mother Dolores Akins. Son’s Nate and Isaiah with Mother Mary Brown.

Sister, Mary Davis; Brother, James and Wife Tawanda Davis; Brother, Eugene and Charlena Davis
Grandson Jaines Davis-Antonio; Granddaughters, Aamira, Aliyah, Alexandria, Za’kyri and Zamauri.
and a host of nieces and nephews.
Charles is resting peacefully in the kingdom of heaven with his Father Charles and brothers, Bruce, Richard and Micheal Davis.
