Background
Mitch was a long-time educator and education administrator who was passionate about his work in the school system. He loved working with kids of all ages, and being an advocate for them. The impact that Mitch had on his students, their families, and the community as a whole that he worked with over his 43-year career is tangible, and can be felt in the stories and the memories that those he impacted continue to share.
Our goal with this Scholarship Fund is to continue Mitch's legacy of supporting and advocating for students and their families. This scholarship will be granted at Waynesboro High School -- a place where Mitch spent countless hours, days and years doing what he loved -- on an annual basis to a Waynesboro High School graduating senior to help with education expenses after graduation.
