Charles's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Mowry, a beloved father, brother, son, and friend. Charles was born on August 8, 1980, and passed away on January 1, 2025, leaving a legacy of giving and caring that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Charles was born in Conneaut Ohio and Moved to Jacksonville Florida at a young age, eventually he moved and settled down in Tamarac where he became a member at the Mose Lodge and made many new friends.
Charles is survived by his loving daughter, Julia Mowry, his brothers Patrick and David Mowry, his sister Kathrine Mosio, and his mother Laura Branthoover. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Dean Branthoover. Charles loved his family deeply and will be missed by them and all who knew him.
Charles was admired for his overcoming a tough past and opening his own business, setting an example of resilience and determination. His animated personality was a source of joy and comfort to many. Known for his love of volunteering, he dedicated many hours to The Moose Lodge, proving his commitment to his community.
Charles enjoyed a variety of interests. A lover of simple pleasures, he relished in meals of steak and mashed potatoes and could often be found playing cards with friends or family. An ardent fan of Eminem and Toby Keith as well as many other music artists. His spirit of adventure was fulfilled by traveling and he cherished Jacksonville Landing as a local spot before it was torn down in 2019.
Charles was an avid weightlifter, and his goofy and upbeat personality endeared him to a wide circle of friends. His devotion to others was evident in his actions and he inspired many with his courage and perseverance. As we remember Charles, we honor his life of generosity, perseverance, and love. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
