Mr. Charles C. Mixon was born on May 30, 1967 in Columbia, South Carolina to Mrs. Beatrice D. Woodard McClinton. He departed this life on Saturday, July 2, 2022.
Charles Mixon was educated in the public schools of Richland County and attended W. J. Keenan High School. Charles played on the Raiders football team, as their Defensive Tackle.
“Yic”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, enjoyed playing cards, watching and playing sports. Charles was a die-hard Colts football fan and Lakers basketball fan—his favorite b-ball player was Shaq! When it came to food—Charles would help himself.
Charles was a family man, and made sure his children were taken care of.
He was preceded in death by his aunt, Mattie Bell Hall and nephew, Brandon Bennett.
Mr. Charles Mixon leaves to cherish his precious memories: his mother, Beatrice Woodard-McClinton; three daughters, Phelliccia (Antonio) Mixon, Natalia (Jarvis) Mixon-Hollins, and Deitra Mixon; four sons, Dexter Mixon, Dahon Mixon, Charles Mixon, and Ryan Jones; three sisters, Portandra (Kennedy) Emeruem, of Atlanta, GA, Shelba Mixon-Wright, and Dorothy Mixon-Hall; two brothers, Leonard McClinton and Douglas (Viola) Carr, of Conway, SC; several grandchildren, Zyana, Milaysia, Jayla, Jarvis, Jernie, Jardyn, Josiah, Jaydah, and Aisen; aunts, Ernestine Chavis, of California, Viola James, Albertina Garvin, Sandra Gethers, Summerville, SC; one uncle, Dempsey (Kathy) Hall, Sr., of Houston, TX; lifelong friends, Michael Robinson and Corey Pearson; a special cousin, Cassandra Hall Smith, of Alexandria, LA; nieces: Courtney Mixon, Kendra Emeruem, Kandyce Bennett, Destiny (Lonnie) Hall-Lowery, and more, nephews: Damarkus Emeruem, Co'Tron Dorsey, Dameon Richardson, and loving relatives and friends.
