It was 3 years ago, at 7 in the morning, when I got the call that Charlie had passed away. I remembered this while I was getting up around the same time. While scrolling through my phone, his picture came up and I thought of it as a reminder of him. He was loved by many people, not just his family. RIP sweet guy. Hope you are with dear ones who have passed on. Love, Claudia
I just found this. Cousin Tom Saunders in Virginia.
Love you still, always will. You are so missed.

He would come in to Dennis Edmunds class! Crack jokes , play his mandolin, make us all laugh
Charlie was very generous to the people he worked with. He was always asking about their families and about he could help them grow their businesses. He got them concert tickets and managed to go with them. He loved his customers and tried to take care of them. He was cordial to everyone he met.
Charlie loved his family and loved doing as much as he could for them, especially his daughters and grandchildren. He was so proud of their accomplishments.
I lived next door to Charlie in Sandy when they first moved to Utah. A couple of memories stand out - one night we were sleeping out on his back deck and his brother Mac kept getting mad at us because we were too loud and he couldn’t sleep. He kept threatening us with a bucket of cold water. Charlie kept taunting him and Mac made good on his threat. Soaked us both in our sleeping bags.
We liked to backpack in the mountains above our homes. Charlie, me, and Bill Burns had our parents drop us off at the base of Bell Canyon back when it was a strict watershed area and no hikers were allowed. We jumped the fence and started our hike up the service road to the reservoir. Soon we could hear a truck coming so we jumped into the scrub oak and laid low until they came back down and left. We jumped back out and hiked up to the falls for a great overnight trip.

Charlie was a great guy, a character, and a lot of fun to be around. I have not seen him since high school. So sorry to hear of his passing

I was very sadden to hear of Charlie's passing. I know it's had for you and your family at this time and the years to come.
I have only good memories of Charlie. "He was a good Man!" what more can be said. He is at peace and I'm sure he would want you to be as well. I'm sure he will be looking over you and your family. There will be times when you'll feel of his present.
A fun memory, I have, of Charlie is when we had a Elders Quorum shot. I was surprised how good of a shot he was, not knowing him much at that time. I know he was very proud of "his girls" and I'm sure he was so grateful for all his grandsons.

So sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. I so enjoyed being he and Claudia's home teacher for many years. He was such a great man. I will miss him.
So sorry to hear about Charlie’s passing. I loved serving with him in the Stake YM’s presidency.
I want to express my sadness at losing Charlie. He was a recent employee for Alpine School district and I was happy to have gotten to know him! Prayers and love to your family!
So sorry to hear of Charlie’s passing, though we have not spoken for many years, I have many fond memories working with him at Sysco. I’ll never forget the laughs he and Bob Love as “Hans & Franz” gave us. The world is a sadder place as we mourn its loss. Thoughts and prayers to his family. 🙏
