Chuck and I always felt we were like brother and sister. Spent a lot of time together as kids when our family got together. Always kept in touch. Later there were several couples and friends that we would get together to play games and cookout. Chuck was a great cook. Always trying new spices and recipes. His girls were his life. So proud of them. We would get together for most holidays even after they had moved. We went to Shannon and Teran’s college graduations and then their weddings. Chuck was so proud to be a grandpa of each baby. I miss talking on the phone usually late night. The girls are so precious to me. Chuck called from the hospital. I was so grateful to talk one last time. I miss him so much!!
We lived across the street at 5800 in Kenosha. Many a night we would be awakened by the sound of a Frisbee skirting along the street. He would be playing with a friend of his at 2 or 3 in the morning. We would just turn over and go back to sleep. It was just Chuck being Chuck. Looking back over the years, he was a funny guy and I can laugh now over his antics. Hopefully, the angels above will find his lost frisbee and can have a good toss with him.
