Chuck's obituary

Major Charles Alan Jenigen, [71] passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Brooke Army Medical Center on November 15 2021. Charles was born on June 5th 1950 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to his parents Ethel Afreda Barr & Charles Adam Jenigen.

At age 18, Charles attended night school to become a peace officer for the City of Philadelphia P.A. Charles was a veteran who served during the Vietnam War in Germany. He enlisted in the United States Army at age 19. He was 1st stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. Charles would go on to serve in Alabama at Fort McClellan and Obtain His Helicopter Training at the Fort Rucker Army Academy. He later was stationed at Fort Hood in Killeen Texas . From there he joined the Air National Guard and retired in 1997. In 1986 he moved to Del Rio Texas were he was a part of the Governor's Drug Intermission Program. He then became a U.S. Customs K-9 officer. He had 20 years before retiring from Active Duty & Air National Guard.

He was also a contractor and part owner of Hallmark Construction & Assoc in Killeen TX and Owner of Double Diamond Homes in Del Rio Tx. Later in life he settled down with the love of his life Gloria Levrie. Where he became an Urban Planner working in civil engineering.

Chuck had a passion for working on cars, wood working, painting, computer technology, outdoor grilling, building and much more. He always continued to educate himself in many areas along with a Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Arlington TX. He was highly intelligent, skilled and had a heart of gold. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Charles is survived by his wife Mrs. Gloria Levrie Jenigen and Children;

(grandson) Kadin M. Cuadrado

(granddaughter) Mia B. A. Cuadrado

(Son) Charles Adam Jenigen & (wife) Susan Claflin Jenigen

(granddaughter) Brittany A. Jenigen

(great granddaughter) Hallie J. Jenigen

(grandson) Chance Adam Jenigen & (wife) Zaida M. Jenigen

(great grandson) Colson G. Jenigen

(son/nephew) Dallas Shipley

Mother-n-law Dora Shipley.

Father-n-law Samuel Shipley.
