I remember this memory of this amazing man. This memory was on my birthday, September 4th. I called him, somewhere in the afternoon. I said "Hey Grandpa I love you and miss you! For my birthday I wanted to talk to you!" I remember him being happy as we talked on the phone. When it was time to hang up I was sad, but I knew I could talk to him again. I wrote him almost every night, all the nights I had a bedtime that is. If I didn't have a bedtime I'd pass out (sleep) and say sorry the next day. I still called him once more, and my brother Kadin was there. But after that I never heard from him. I also seen him when I was a baby, I want to relive the memories.. I still miss him and want to see him again. I wish I got to know what he did in the past, and just have a fun talk. Grandpa, I love you. I hope we see each other again, in heaven. 🙏

I have only met Chuck a handful of times. What I have seen from the time I have spent with him, was he's an caring person and very family oriented. He was also a war hero and would be a great role model for any little man growing up. The one memory that sticks out the most was driving with him to the store. This was the first time I have met him and was very nervous. A song came on the radio that I really like at the time, it was really catchy but never really listen to the lyrics just the beat. I told Chuck that "this is my favorite song to try and break the ice. Well the song is called Rude by magic and pretty much its about a guy telling his girlfriends father he's going to marry his daughter no matter what he thinks or says. So sitting in the car and actually listening to the lyrics with my now wife's father for the first time. I was so embarrassed and the look on his face I felt so small. I will never forget that moment. Chuck you have left to soon and will be missed very much. Just know you daughter is in good hands and I will take care of her till it's our time to come visit you.
