Charles “Dennis” Hodges, 79, of Lakewood, WA, went home to be with Jesus on November 18, 2022 after a 4 year battle with dementia and a stroke in July 2022 .

Dennis was born on July 3, 1943 to Walter & Alta Hodges in Hereford, Texas. Growing up he worked on the family farm where they grew cotton, wheat, potatoes, onion, sorghum & sugar beets. 

After graduating from Hereford High School in 1962, He went to West Texas State University.  In January 1964, he met Sharon and they married on November 7, 1964. They moved to Washington in the summer of 1967 going on to adopt 2 children, Allen & Nicole. Then proceeded to have 2 more children, Jacob & Timothy. He was incredibly proud of his children and always supported them in their activities & hobbies. Anyone who knew Dennis knew that he was the most loving father, devoted husband and he loved the Lord with all his heart.

Dennis was such a hard worker, always providing for his family, he worked for Manke Lumber Company as a lumber yard supervisor for 30 years. Dennis was also a passionate outdoorsman, loving to fish and hunt with his kids and friends.  He could also often be found on the golf course when he wasn’t at home. Dennis was very musically talented, playing all instruments by ear. Family and friends loved when he would get out his guitar or sit down at the piano and start playing and singing! 

Dennis was predeceased by his parents Walter & Alta, his son Timothy and his granddaughter Kylie. He is survived by his wife Sharon, daughter Nicole (Matt) and sons Jacob (Tyra) & Allen. Grandchildren Ashley, Emiley & Cole. Great Grandchildren Sofia & Stella. 

His smile and genuine love to all will greatly be missed!
