Still miss my big brother every day. And especially miss the wonderful phone conversations and listening to that slow, Texas drawl. You will always have a big piece of my heart, Charlie. You were one of a kind. I love you always.

On my birthday a couple of years ago, Charlie sent me an email. He was almost four years old when I was born. When mom went to the hospital in Artesia, NM to give birth to me, Charlie didn't understand where she was (maybe she died), so Daddy took him and sister Nonie to the hospital in a '49 black ford. He had Mom wave to them from the hospital room so that they would be assured that she was ok. So, the first time I met my brother was right after that when I was a few days old. He was always in my life; pestering me, teasing me, and looking out for me, making me laugh! Though I miss our long talks, I still feel like he's looking out for me today.

After he retired he spent 8 years building himself and Sheila their 2 story dream home. Then in his spare time he loved being with his Grandson Vincent building 3 different N Scale Railroad track displays and teaching Vincent all about computers.

I always remember Charlie as our Cowboy Uncle, tall and proud. He loved horses and worked on the railroad and belted out "Amarillo By Morning" on the guitar. Family was so important to him and he always did it his way! Riding off into the sunset but always in our hearts. Love, Bryce Harman, Nephew

I remember going to y’all’s house in Jamestown. Charles would laugh and I remembered his eyes would squint! He always had a pretty smile. Seems like I remember cowboy hats too! I know he will be missed a lot. It’s never goodbye! We will see him again! And that smile ❤️
