It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles "Chuck" Hammond, a truly remarkable man who will be sorely missed. Born on January 23, 1962, he left us too soon on October 5, 2024.

Although many knew him as Charles, he preferred Chuck, owning his calm, goofy, and loving personality in the full gravity of his name. Among the greatest accomplishments of his life were his children and grandchildren who survive him. This includes his daughters, Jessica Walker, Kimberly Bojanowski, and Annisa Hammond; sons, Lee Walker, Christopher Hammond, and Daniel Hammond; granddaughters Rylee Walker, and Delilah Walker; and grandsons Jesse Bojanowski, Lee Walker Jr, Nathan Walker, and Holten Jensen.

Charles was predeceased in death by his loving Partner, Sherry Gottshalk, their shared love and companionship was a testament to his deeply caring nature. His legacy of kindness and love will continue to live on through everyone that had the pleasure to know him.

A devoted fan of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Van Halen, Charles had an ear for classic rock. His fervor for reading was satisfied by engrossing himself in the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, a series he held dear. Charles's love for television was quite apparent to those who knew him well, with favorite shows such as HGTV, Forensic Files, Looney Tunes and Ancient Aliens always on his screen. An avid sports fan, he cheered passionately for the Philadelphia Eagles. Solitaire was his go-to game, a pastime that provided him with countless hours of joy.

Charles's favorite color was red, a symbol of his vibrant spirit. He had a soft spot for Philly Cheesesteaks, steak, and pizza, and was known to enjoy a cool Sprite or a glass of milk. Every food he loved, every book he read, every song he listened to, paints a picture of a man full of life and vigor. His love for family, friends, and simple joys of life was evident in his every action.

Though Charles is no longer with us, his memory will forever remain in our hearts. His legacy is one of joy, love and laughter; an example for us all. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
